What is achiness?

Achiness is a common symptom that often occurs as a result of physical exertion or injury. It is described a dull, persistent pain or discomfort that can be felt in various parts of the body such as the muscles, joints, and bones. There are several underlying causes of achiness, including inflammation, dehydration, stress, overuse, and injury. Other symptoms that may accompany achiness include fatigue, weakness, fever, and swelling. Treatment for achiness involves rest, hydration, pain relief medication, stretching, massage, and physical therapy. In some cases, medical intervention may be necessary if the cause of the achiness is serious or chronic.
