ACU-2 stands for Amphibious Construction Battalion Unit 2, which is a unit of the United States Navy Seabees. The Seabees are responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of military infrastructure and facilities both on land and at sea.
ACU-2 is based in Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, California, and is one of six active-duty amphibious construction battalions in the Navy. Its mission is to support the Navy and Marine Corps with construction and engineering services in expeditionary environments.
