What is agm-122?

The AGM-122 Sidearm missile is an air-to-ground missile that was developed by the United States during the 1980s. It is designed to be launched from fighter aircraft to destroy enemy ground targets such as tanks, vehicles, and buildings. The missile is guided by an infrared seeker and has a range of up to 10km. It is capable of hitting targets with high accuracy, thanks to its precise guidance system. The AGM-122 was used extensively during the Gulf War of 1991, where it proved highly effective in destroying Iraqi armored vehicles. However, it has since been replaced by more advanced missile systems such as the AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW).
