What is agrippine?

Agrippina the Younger was a Roman Empress and one of the most influential women of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. She was born in AD 15 in Cologne, Germany, to the prominent general Germanicus and his wife, Agrippina the Elder. She married her uncle, Emperor Claudius, in AD 49, after eliminating his previous wife.

Agrippina was known for her political savvy and ambition and played a significant role in promoting her son Nero as the next emperor. She was also known for her ruthless tactics, including murder and intrigue, to secure power for herself and her son.

During her reign as empress, she promoted public works, was an advocate for women's rights, and sought to expand the Roman Empire. However, her influence waned after the death of her husband, and she was eventually banished and executed by her own son Nero in AD 59.

Despite her controversial legacy, Agrippina the Younger is remembered as a powerful and influential woman in Roman history.
