What is amoral?

Amoral refers to the absence or lack of moral principles or values. It implies a disregard for what is considered right or wrong, good or bad. People who are amoral do not have a sense of moral responsibility or conscience, and they may act in ways that are unethical, immoral, or illegal without feeling guilty or remorseful about their actions. Amoral behavior is often associated with psychopathy, sociopathy, or other personality disorders that affect a person's ability to empathize with others or understand the impact of their actions. Amorality should not be confused with immorality, which refers to the violation of moral standards or principles intentionally or unintentionally.
