What is arachnis?

Arachnis is a genus of orchids that are native to Southeast Asia. They are known for their large, colorful flowers with long, thin petals that resemble spider legs, hence the name "arachnis," which means "spider" in Greek. These orchids are epiphytic, meaning they grow on trees in their natural habitat.

Arachnis orchids prefer warm, humid environments and bright, indirect sunlight. They should be watered regularly, allowing the potting medium to dry out slightly between waterings. Fertilize with a balanced orchid fertilizer during the growing season to promote healthy growth and flowering.

These orchids are relatively easy to care for and make beautiful additions to any indoor garden or orchid collection. With proper care, arachnis orchids can bloom multiple times a year and bring a touch of exotic beauty to any space.
