What is architravi?

An architrave is a horizontal beam that rests on top of a set of columns or pillars and serves as a support for the upper part of a structure such as a building, temple, or portico. It is located directly above the column shafts and below the entablature, which is the upper part of the Classical order in architecture. The architrave itself is composed of three parts: the epistyle (the horizontal member), the frieze (a decorative band), and the cornice (the topmost part of the entablature). Architraves have been used in architectural styles since ancient times, and are still commonly used in modern construction today.
