What is avaps?

AVAPS, or Average Volume Assured Pressure Support, is a mode of ventilation that is used in respiratory therapy. It is a non-invasive form of ventilation that is used to support the breathing of people with respiratory distress. The AVAPS mode uses a combination of pressure support and targeted tidal volume to deliver the appropriate amount of ventilation at all times. This mode is used in patients with neuromuscular disease or other respiratory conditions that require support for breathing. AVAPS is able to maintain a consistent tidal volume, regardless of changes in patient effort or lung compliance. This helps to improve oxygenation and make the patient more comfortable during ventilation. AVAPS is commonly used in home ventilation for patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
