What is axolotis?

Axolotis, also known as the Mexican walking fish, are a type of salamander native to Mexico. They are unique in that they have the ability to regenerate lost body parts, including limbs, spinal cord, and even parts of their brain. Axolotis are carnivorous and mostly eat worms, insects, and small fish. They are also popular as pets, especially in North America and Europe. Unfortunately, they are currently endangered in the wild due to habitat loss and pollution. Conservation efforts are underway to help protect and preserve the axolotis population.
