What is bambiraptor?

Bambiraptor is a small, feathered theropod dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous Period, around 75 million years ago. It was discovered in 1993 in Montana, USA, and was named after the fictional Disney character Bambi.

Bambiraptor was about 3 feet long and weighed around 4-5 pounds. It had sharp teeth and claws, and would have been a fast and agile predator, likely preying on small vertebrates and insects. It had long, slender legs and arms, with feathers covering its body, suggesting that it was a relatively advanced theropod dinosaur.

Bambiraptor is an important specimen in the study of dinosaur evolution and the origin of birds, as it provides evidence of the close relationship between small feathered dinosaurs and modern birds. Its fossilized remains have helped scientists better understand the transitional forms between dinosaurs and birds.
