What is buckshaw?

Buckshaw is a village located in the borough of Chorley in Lancashire, England. It is situated roughly halfway between the towns of Chorley and Preston and is part of the larger Buckshaw Village development which includes nearby housing and shopping areas. The village has a population of around 9,000 and features a number of amenities including a primary school, community centre, numerous parks and a railway station. The construction of Buckshaw began in 2004 and it has since become a popular suburban area within the North West region of England.
