What is bulgary?

Bulgaria is a country located in southeastern Europe, bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and North Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east. Its capital and largest city is Sofia.

With a population of approximately 7 million people, Bulgaria is the 16th largest country in Europe. The official language is Bulgarian and the country's currency is the Bulgarian lev (BGN).

Bulgaria is a member of the European Union, NATO, and the United Nations. The country's economy has been transitioning from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one since the fall of communism in 1989. Agriculture, industry, and services are the main sectors of the country's economy.
