What is canini?

Canini is a subtribe of carnivorous mammals belonging to the family Canidae. It includes species of dogs, wolves, foxes, coyotes, and jackals. Members of the Canini subtribe are recognized by their elongated snouts, keen senses of hearing and smell, sharp teeth, and athletic and hunting abilities. They are typically social animals that have complex communication systems, often hunting in packs to take down larger prey. Canini are distributed throughout the world, with most species found in the Americas, Eurasia, and Africa. They are important both ecologically and culturally, serving as predators, companions, and symbols in many human societies.
