What is capivara?

Capivara, also known as the capybara, is the largest rodent in the world. They are native to South America and can be found in a variety of habitats, including forests, grasslands, and wetlands.

Capivaras are social animals that live in groups of 10-20 individuals, led by a dominant male. They are herbivores, feeding primarily on grasses and aquatic plants. They are excellent swimmers and spend a significant amount of time in the water, both to cool off and to escape predators.

Capivaras have a lifespan of around 8-10 years in the wild. They are not considered endangered, but they are often hunted for their meat and fur. Conservation efforts are being made to protect capivaras and their habitats.
