Carlos Moya is a retired professional tennis player from Spain who was born on August 27, 1976. He started playing tennis at the age of six and turned pro in 1995. He quickly made a name for himself as a powerful player who could hit explosive forehands and backhands.
During his career, Moya won 20 ATP singles titles, including the 1998 French Open. He also helped Spain win the Davis Cup in 2004. In addition, he reached the number one ranking in the world in 1999.
Moya was known for his aggressive playing style, as well as his sportsmanship. He retired from professional tennis in 2010 and went on to coach other players, including Rafael Nadal.
Off the court, Moya is known for his charity work. He founded a charity called the "Fundación Carlos Moya" to help disadvantaged children and families in Spain.
