What is chuspas?

Chuspas are small, pouch-like bags that are traditionally used to carry coca leaves in the Andean regions of South America. The coca leaf is an integral part of Andean culture and has been used for centuries for medicinal, religious, and social purposes. The chuspa is made from various materials including llama or alpaca wool, cotton, or synthetic materials. They are often adorned with bright colors, traditional patterns, and embroidery, and may be passed down from generation to generation as a symbol of cultural heritage. Chuspas are still commonly used today in the Andean regions as a symbol of cultural identity and continue to be an important part of the indigenous culture.
