What is claviharp?

The claviharp is a hybrid musical instrument that combines elements of the harpsichord and the clavichord. It was invented in the late 18th century in England and was popular for a brief period in the early 19th century. The claviharp can be played with either a keyboard or a set of strings, and it produces a sound similar to that of the harpsichord but with a greater range of dynamics and expression. However, despite the claviharp's innovative design, it never achieved the same level of popularity as other keyboard instruments like the piano, and it eventually fell out of use by the mid-19th century. Today, there are only a few surviving claviharps in existence, most of which are housed in museum collections.
