Clodoaldo Tavares de Santana, also known as Clodoaldo, is a former Brazilian professional footballer, born on February 26, 1949, in Itabaiana, Paraíba, Brazil. He is considered one of the greatest defensive midfielders in the history of Brazilian football.

Clodoaldo started his football career playing for the local club Santos Dumont, and later moved to Botafogo-PB, where he gained attention from bigger clubs. In 1966, he was signed by Santos FC, where he became a key player and won numerous titles, including three Copa Libertadores and two Intercontinental Cups.

He also played for the Brazilian national team, making his debut in 1968. Clodoaldo was part of the team that won the 1970 World Cup, where he scored a memorable goal against Italy in the semi-finals.

After retiring as a player, Clodoaldo worked as a football coach, managing several Brazilian clubs. He also worked as a commentator and television host for various sports programs.
