What is confederalists?

Confederalists are individuals who support confederalism, which is a political system where the central government has limited power and the majority of decision-making power is held by the states or regions. This is in contrast to federalism, where power is shared between the national and state governments.

Confederalism is often seen as a way to promote the autonomy of states or regions and ensure that their interests are represented in the political process. Confederalists believe that decision-making power should be as close to the people as possible and that the central government should only be responsible for matters that cannot be handled by the states or regions.

Some examples of confederalist movements and organizations include the European Union, the Confederation of Independent States (CIS), and the Southern Confederacy during the American Civil War. However, confederalism is not as commonly practiced as federalism or other forms of government, and there are debates among political theorists about the effectiveness and sustainability of confederal systems.
