What is crisaor?

Crisaor, sometimes known as Crisagáthon, was a figure from Greek mythology. According to legend, he was a giant who was born from the union of the sea god Poseidon and the Gorgon Medusa. He was said to be the brother of the winged horse Pegasus.

Crisaor was typically depicted as a fearsome warrior, armed with a variety of weapons including a sword and a spear. He was said to be incredibly strong and almost invulnerable, which made him a formidable opponent in battle.

Although he was not as well-known as some of the other figures in Greek mythology, Crisaor played an important role in several myths and legends. He was often associated with the sea and was considered the patron of sailors and fishermen. He was also believed to have been one of the guardians of the famous golden fleece, which was sought after by Jason and the Argonauts.
