What is cyclobenzenol?

Cyclobenzenol, also known as hydroxy cyclohexadienyl benzene, is a cyclic organic compound with a molecular formula C6H6O. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor and boiling point of 203 °C. Cyclobenzenol is used as a building block in the synthesis of more complex organic compounds. It has also been studied for its potential use in organic solar cells and as an antioxidant. However, it is not used commercially to a significant extent. Cyclobenzenol is a relatively unstable molecule and can easily undergo reactions such as air oxidation and polymerization when exposed to air or heat. It is also flammable and should be handled with care.
