What is darkcomet-rat?

DarkComet-RAT (Remote Administration Tool) is a type of malware that is designed to provide remote access and control over a victim’s computer. It was developed by a French computer programmer, known as "DarkCoderSc", and was publicly released in 2012. DarkComet-RAT is considered a "backdoor" trojan, as it allows an attacker to gain access to a compromised system without the user's knowledge. It has a wide range of dangerous capabilities, including keylogging, webcam and microphone access, file transfer, remote shutdown, and more. DarkComet-RAT has been used in various cyberattacks, including against governments, human rights organizations, and businesses. Its use is illegal unless it is used for legitimate penetration testing or other security purposes.
