What is dedective?

A detective is a law enforcement officer who is responsible for investigating crimes and gathering evidence. Detectives work for various agencies such as the police department, federal agencies, and private investigation firms. They use various skills such as deduction, observation, and interviewing to gather evidence and solve crimes. They may work in many different areas, including homicide, financial crimes, or cyber-crime. Some detectives may be plainclothes officers, while others may work undercover. They must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with other law enforcement officers and agencies. Detectives may also be called to testify in court about their findings.
