What is doksuri?

Doksuri was a powerful typhoon that struck Southeast Asia in September 2017. It caused significant damage in Vietnam, Laos, and parts of Cambodia, killing at least 9 people and severely damaging many homes, buildings, and infrastructure. The typhoon resulted in serious flooding and landslides in many areas, disrupting transportation, communication, and power supply. In Vietnam alone, over 200,000 homes were damaged or destroyed, and agricultural lands were severely affected, causing significant economic losses for residents in affected areas. Despite the severity of the typhoon, local governments and international aid agencies were able to mobilize quickly and provide support and assistance to affected communities.
