What is estarylla?

Estarylla is a combined oral contraceptive pill that contains a combination of two hormones, ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate. It is used to prevent pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, thickening the cervical mucus to prevent sperm from reaching the egg, and thinning the uterine lining to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg.

Estarylla is also used to treat acne in women of reproductive age and to regulate the menstrual cycle. It is typically taken once daily, at the same time each day, for 21 days followed by a week of inactive pills or pills without hormones.

Like all birth control pills, Estarylla does not protect against sexually transmitted infections and may have potential side effects. These can include headache, nausea, breast tenderness, and changes in weight or appetite.

Estarylla should not be taken by women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of blood clots, cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, or liver disease. It is important to discuss any medical conditions and medications with a healthcare provider before starting Estarylla.
