What is evangelist?

An evangelist is a person who preaches the gospel and seeks to convert people to Christianity. Evangelists can be individuals or organizations who are dedicated to spreading the message of Jesus Christ and inviting people to become believers. The term "evangelist" comes from the Greek word "euangelos" which means "good news" or "gospel". Evangelists often travel extensively to share the gospel with a wide variety of audiences and may use a range of methods, including preaching, personal witnessing, and media outreach. Some evangelists focus on specific aspects of the gospel, such as healing or speaking in tongues, while others have a more general message that centers around the love, grace and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Some well-known evangelists include Billy Graham, Reinhard Bonnke, and Benny Hinn.
