What is eyp?

The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a peer-to-peer educational programme that brings young people from across Europe together to discuss current issues in a parliamentary setting. It's a platform for political debate, intercultural exchange, and personal development.

EYP sessions simulate the procedures of the European Parliament, allowing participants to take on roles such as delegates, chairs, and journalists. Delegates work in committees to draft resolutions addressing specific issues. These resolutions are then debated and voted upon in a general assembly.

Key aspects of the EYP experience include:

  • Debate: Engaging in structured discussions on diverse topics.
  • Resolution Writing: Crafting detailed proposals to address complex issues.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with others to achieve common goals.
  • Intercultural Exchange: Interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • European Politics: Gaining a deeper understanding of the EU and its policies.

EYP events range from national sessions to international sessions, providing opportunities for young people to connect with others from across Europe and beyond.
