What is frq?

FRQ stands for Free Response Question. It is a type of exam or test question format that requires the test-taker to answer the question in an open-ended response format, rather than a multiple-choice or true/false format. The FRQ format is commonly used in standardized exams, including the AP tests, SAT subject tests, and other exams. In an FRQ, the test-taker is typically given a prompt or question and required to provide a detailed, thoughtful answer, often with supporting evidence or examples. FRQs can be challenging due to their open-ended nature, but they also offer the opportunity for test-takers to showcase their depth of knowledge, critical thinking, and writing skills.
