What is galatic?

The term "galactic" pertains to anything related to the galaxy- the vast system of stars, planets, gas, and dust that make up the Milky Way. Our galaxy is estimated to be around 100,000 light-years in diameter and hosts hundreds of billions of stars, as well as numerous planetary systems, gas clouds, and other celestial structures. Galactic studies are an essential area of astronomy that covers various fields, including galactic structure and evolution, galaxy formation, and the dynamics of stars and gas in the galactic environment. The study of galaxies enables us to understand better the evolution of the universe, the formation of stars, planets, and other celestial bodies, and the nature of dark matter and dark energy, two of the most puzzling phenomena in cosmology today.
