What is gantrisch?

Gantrisch is a mountain range located in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland. It is situated west of the city of Thun and south of the city of Bern. The mountain range has an elevation of 2,175 meters (7,136 feet) at its highest point, known as the Gantrisch summit.

The Gantrisch Nature Park, which covers an area of 41 square kilometers (16 square miles), is located within Gantrisch. It is a popular destination for hikers, skiers, and mountaineers, as well as for those interested in nature and wildlife.

The Gantrisch region is also known for its cheese production, including the popular Alpkäse cheese. Visitors to the region can experience traditional cheesemaking methods and taste the locally produced cheese.
