What is gddp?

GDDP (Global Decision Support Platform) is a web-based tool that provides climate data, maps and visualization for climate risk assessment and adaptation planning. It is developed by the World Bank in collaboration with the Climate Impact Group at the University of Washington.

GDDP has climate datasets that cover a wide range of future scenarios at both county and country levels. The dataset includes projections of temperature, precipitation, extreme weather events and droughts up to the end of the 21st century. It also has features to generate customized climate projections by using a set of climate models.

GDDP is a powerful tool to help government officials, planners and stakeholders to make informed decisions on climate adaptation by visualizing climate scenarios and impacts. Additionally, it provides useful information in sectors such as agriculture, water management, energy and infrastructure planning for the adaptation process.
