What is groskster?

Groskster was a popular peer-to-peer file-sharing program that was shut down in 2005 after being sued by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for copyright infringement. The program allowed users to share music, movies, and other files with each other over the internet. Groskster gained a large user base in the early 2000s but faced legal challenges due to copyright violations. It was ultimately forced to shut down and pay a settlement to the RIAA. The case against Groskster set a legal precedent for holding file-sharing services responsible for copyright infringement.
