What is guirilas?

Gorillas are the largest living primates and are native to the forests of central Africa. They are highly intelligent and social animals, living in close-knit family groups led by a dominant male known as a silverback. Gorillas primarily eat plants such as leaves, stems, and fruit, and are known to be herbivores.

There are two species of gorillas: the eastern gorilla (Gorilla beringei) and the western gorilla (Gorilla gorilla). Each species is further divided into subspecies, with the most well-known being the mountain gorilla, which is a subspecies of the eastern gorilla.

Gorillas are currently facing threats such as habitat loss, poaching, and diseases such as Ebola. Conservation efforts are in place to protect these endangered animals, including habitat protection, anti-poaching patrols, and community education programs.

Gorillas are important to their ecosystems as seed dispersers and play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy balance in their habitats. They are also a popular attraction for eco-tourism, providing economic benefits to local communities.
