What is hadiz?

Hadiths are traditional and authoritative narratives about the sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that were collected and compiled by Muslim scholars over several centuries. They are a significant source of Islamic law and guidance, shedding light on the Prophet's teachings, lifestyle, and character. There are several types of Hadiths, including Sahih (authentic), Hasan (good), and Da'if (weak), depending on their chain of transmission and authenticity. Muslims worldwide consider the Hadiths as an essential part of their faith, and they often use them to shape their personal and communal lives. The study of Hadiths is an essential discipline within Islamic scholarship and Islamic studies.
