What is harpalyke?

Harpalyke is a small moon of Jupiter. It was discovered by a team of astronomers led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2003 using observations made by the Mauna Kea Observatory in Hawaii. Harpalyke is about 4 kilometers in diameter and it orbits Jupiter at a distance of about 21 million kilometers. Its orbital period is about 639 Earth days, and it completes one rotation on its axis in about 15 hours. Harpalyke is named after a daughter of the sea-god Triton in Greek mythology.
