What is hemeroidy?

Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in your anus and lower rectum. They can cause discomfort, itching, and pain. Hemorrhoids can occur due to various reasons including pregnancy, obesity, straining during bowel movements, chronic constipation or diarrhea, a low-fiber diet, or prolonged sitting.

There are two types of hemorrhoids; internal and external. Internal hemorrhoids occur inside the rectum and are usually painless, while external hemorrhoids occur outside the anus and can be painful.

Symptoms of hemorrhoids include rectal bleeding, itching, and pain during bowel movements. Hemorrhoids can be managed with lifestyle changes such as increasing fiber intake, staying hydrated, exercising, and avoiding prolonged sitting. Over-the-counter creams and ointments may also help relieve symptoms.

In severe cases, medical procedures such as banding, sclerotherapy, or surgery may be required to remove the hemorrhoids. It is important to consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
