What is hitbox.tv?

Hitbox.tv was a video game streaming platform that was founded in 2013. The platform allowed gamers to stream and watch live video game streams and eSports tournaments. Hitbox.tv was designed to provide a more stable and lag-free streaming experience compared to other streaming platforms.

The platform offered a variety of features to its users such as low latency streaming, customizable channel layouts, integrated chat, and the ability to broadcast in high definition. Hitbox.tv also had a partnership program for content creators to monetize their streams through ads, sponsorships, and donations.

In 2017, Hitbox.tv merged with Azubu to create a new eSports broadcasting platform called Smashcast.tv. The new platform provided an enhanced viewing experience for eSports fans with a larger content library and improved streaming technology. However, in 2019, Smashcast.tv announced that it would be shutting down its services due to financial issues.
