What is instamatics?

Instamatics were a popular line of cameras introduced by Kodak in the 1960s and were known for their simple, easy-to-use design. They were popular with amateur photographers due to their affordable price point and the convenience of using 126 film cartridges. The instamatic cameras were compact, lightweight and designed for basic point-and-shoot photography. They were eventually replaced by more advanced models as photography technology advanced, but they remain popular among collectors and vintage camera enthusiasts.
