What is ja-37d?

The JA-37D is a variant of the Saab 37 Viggen, a Swedish-designed fighter aircraft that was in service from 1971 until 2005. The JA-37D was an upgraded version of the JA-37 Viggen, with improved avionics and weapons systems. It was also capable of carrying the AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile, which gave it the ability to engage targets beyond visual range. The JA-37D was primarily used by the Swedish Air Force, but it was also exported to Austria and Thailand. The aircraft was retired from service in 2005, after being replaced by the Saab Gripen.
