What is jazzmun?

Jazzmun Nichcala Crayton, professionally known as Jazzmun, was an American actress and transgender rights activist. She was born on August 10, 1964, in San Diego, California, and passed away on October 4, 2016, at the age of 52. Jazzmun was best known for her roles in the films "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar" and "Lady Sings the Blues". She was also a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ community and advocated for transgender rights throughout her life. She appeared in several TV shows and movies throughout her career, including "ER", "NYPD Blue", and "Tales from the Crypt". Jazzmun was also a mentor and educator, helping to pave the way for the next generation of transgender actors and activists.
