What is karlovo?

Karlovo is a town located in central Bulgaria, in the Plovdiv Province. It is situated in the Valley of Roses, in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. The town has a population of around 30,000 people and covers an area of 30 square kilometers.

Karlovo is known as the birthplace of Vasil Levski, a Bulgarian national hero who played a key role in the country's fight for independence from the Ottoman Empire. The town has a museum dedicated to Levski, as well as a statue of him in the town center.
