What is khaleesi?

Khaleesi is a title, not a name, in the fictional world of Game of Thrones. It is the Dothraki word for "queen" or "wife of the Khal." It's primarily associated with Daenerys%20Targaryen, a central character in the series.

Daenerys earns the title when she marries Khal%20Drogo, a powerful Dothraki warlord. Throughout the series, she transforms from a young woman initially used as a pawn into a strong and independent leader. She is often referred to as "Khaleesi" even after Drogo's death, a testament to her continued leadership and the respect she garnered. The title, therefore, becomes synonymous with her identity and her journey to claim the Iron Throne. Daenerys commands a large Dothraki following, forming a key part of her military strength.
