What is kinko?

Kinko's, originally called Kinko's Copies, was a chain of retail stores that provided printing, copying, and shipping services. The company was founded in 1970 by Paul Orfalea and was based in Ventura, California. Kinko's expanded rapidly throughout the United States and by the early 2000s, it had over 1,200 locations in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

In 2004, Kinko's was acquired by FedEx and became FedEx Office. Today, FedEx Office provides printing, shipping and office services through more than 2,000 locations in the US and around the world. It still offers many of the same services that Kinko's did, but with added technology and online capabilities.
