Kuromi is a cute yet mischievous character in the Sanrio universe. She has a goth-like appearance with a small black rabbit-like creature on her head. Kuromi is often portrayed as a rival to her more popular counterpart, Hello Kitty. Her personality is described as tomboyish and sassy. Kuromi made her first appearance in 2005 and has since become a beloved character in Japan and around the world. Her merchandise includes plush toys, stationary, and clothes. She also has her own animated series called "Onegai My Melody: Kuru Kuru Shuffle!"
