KV Mechelen is a professional football club based in Mechelen, Belgium. It was founded in 1904 and plays its home matches at the AFAS Stadion Achter de Kazerne. The club has won the Belgian Pro League twice and the Belgian Cup four times. KV Mechelen also won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1988, defeating Ajax in the final. The team's colors are yellow and red and its mascot is a yellow lion named Malinwa.
