What is liding?

Lidingö is a Swedish island, municipality, and suburb located in Stockholm County. The island is situated in the Stockholm archipelago, northeast of Stockholm's city centre. Lidingö is known for its natural beauty, including forests, lakes, and beaches, as well as its historical landmarks, such as the Millesgården art museum and the Lidingö Church. The municipality has a population of around 47,000 people and covers an area of approximately 30 square kilometers (12 square miles).
