Fredrik Logevall is a historian and professor of international studies at Harvard University. He earned his PhD from Yale University and has published extensively on the history of the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and United States foreign policy in Southeast Asia. Logevall co-directs the Program in Contemporary European Politics and Society at Harvard and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his book "Embers of War: The Fall of an Empire and the Making of America’s Vietnam." He has also served as the vice president of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations.
