What is mahmudiyah?

Mahmudiyah is a city in the Baghdad Governorate of Iraq, located about 30 kilometers south of Baghdad. It has a population of around 200,000 people and is known for its agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables. The city has a history dating back to ancient times and was an important trading center during the Abbasid period.
