Malcolm Pirnie was an environmental engineering consulting firm that was founded in 1921 by Malcolm Pirnie. The firm specialized in providing environmental consulting services for water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
Over the years, the firm grew and expanded its services to include a wide range of environmental engineering and consulting services, including water resource management, water treatment plant design, wastewater treatment plant design, environmental permitting, and environmental remediation.
In 2009, Malcolm Pirnie was acquired by ARCADIS, a global design, engineering, and management consulting company. The firm continued to operate as a division of ARCADIS, providing environmental engineering and consulting services to clients worldwide.
In 2014, ARCADIS rebranded all of its operating companies under the name of ARCADIS, and the Malcolm Pirnie name was officially retired. Today, the services that were once provided by Malcolm Pirnie continue to be offered by ARCADIS under their environmental business line.
