What is manasik?

Manasik refers to the rituals and practices undertaken by Muslims during the pilgrimage (Hajj) to Mecca. These rituals include the ihram (a state of ritual purity), tawaf (circumambulation around the Kaaba), sa'i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwa), standing on the plain of Arafat, throwing stones at the pillars of Jamrat, and sacrificing an animal. Manasik is considered a crucial part of the Hajj, as it is believed to cleanse the pilgrim's soul of sins and help them attain spiritual enlightenment. The word manasik is derived from the Arabic word 'manasik al-hajj,' which means the rites of pilgrimage.
